Sarasota, FL – Doctors Hospital of Sarasota hosted the ground breaking ceremony for their ER and OR expansion project on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 8:30 am.
This project is the next phase of a planned $17 million renovation. When complete, the Emergency Department will offer 19 private exam rooms, as well as an updated waiting area and new ambulance canopy. The OR expansion project adds 2 state of the art operating rooms and expands the sterile storage area. These new operating rooms will complement the hospital’s robotics surgery program – the most comprehensive of its kind in southwest Florida.
The renovation project is a significant addition that will enable Doctors Hospital to continue to meet the needs of the growing I-75 corridor communities it serves. The hospital has invested heavily over the last several years to accommodate anticipated growth in demand.
